Each credit gives the photo's title, photographer, license and source, the attribution Creative Commons asks for. Titles link to the original file.
Licenses and changes
To make the mosaic, each photo was cropped to a square, resized, and tinted toward the poster's color at its spot. No photo appears more than four times, and repeats sit at least five tiles apart. The originals are unchanged on Wikimedia Commons.
Because 794 of the photos are licensed CC BY-SA 4.0, the mosaic is shared under CC BY-SA 4.0 as well. The design it recreates is Shepard Fairey's 2008 Hope poster.
